Genome size[edit]

This bacteria is unusual due to its physical size, but it also has an interesting genome.

Could the main article also refer to its genome? E. g. at the least briefly mention the genome size? 2A02:8388:1641:8380:1535:595B:9280:DF61 (talk) 3:38, 19 April 2020 (UTC) And

✔️!

New nomenclature changes[edit]

Page should be renamed to Priestia megaterium to reflect updated nomenclature. Apple127 (talk) 16:35, 30 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. NCBI’s taxonomy database recently started using Priestia as well. 2601:782:400:BFD0:E8BE:EDB2:7DCC:6653 (talk) 01:13, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Cell size[edit]

The sentence on cell size must be wrong, or to the least very misleading: "It has a cell length up to 100 µm and a diameter of 0.1 µm". From quick googling, the typical rod size is 5 x 1.5 µm... A good reference would be needed. 131.152.96.49 (talk) 12:02, 28 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
