Disagree with the change to the present tense[edit]

@Pppery:, hey! I really don't know when I'll have time to update Auxílio Brasil and Bolsa Família again, in both Portuguese and English, but the new government headed by Lula has already moved the program to the latter.

Although both of them are social welfare programs, Bolsa Família requires that kids of families enrolled in this program are properly vaccinated, among other things. Source in Portuguese. So both articles require updates and cleanups, something that takes a bit of time (which I should have by June), but I believe it's a mistake to say this program still exists. Yeah, you're right, my edit there was poorly thought-out. What happened was that I was reading Bolsa Família, which said "is the current program" and then had a paragraph in the lead announcing the discontinuation but nothing about the revival, which was self-contradictory, and I corrected the contradiction (wrongly) by making the lead match the last paragraph, and then went to this article and did the same even though there was no contradiction. I've now tagged that article with {{update}} and reverted all of my content changes. * Pppery * it has begun... 02:08, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
