Three photos, all from Durham, NC[edit]

US-centric illustrations, anyone? How about pics of an African garage, and maybe a Russian one? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.68.6.101 (talk) 22:16, 5 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sentences that need clarification, and one minor issue[edit]

The following three sentences in the article as it currently exists don’t make sense to me: “Automobile repair workshops that are independently owned and operated businesses. These may also include regional or national chains and franchises including OEM car dealership sites. In the United States, these sites are commonly certified by their respective manufacturer to perform warranty and recall repairs by that manufacturer or distributor.”

How can independently-owned businesses INCLUDE regional and national chains? Isn’t “independently-owned” the exact opposite of a chain? These sentences need to be more clearly worded and I do not have enough knowledge of this field to do it. Furthermore, how can an OEM car dealership be considered “independent” if they are owned by a car brand?

One other comment: “towning services”. Was this supposed to be ‘towing services’? Perhaps someone who has knowledge of this industry can say whether this is a typo or an actual term. I'd guess it is a typo but I want to be sure first. If it is a typo, please correct it.
