Rewrite Plot[edit]

This reads as a text taken straight from the seler's site. It's an ad.187.105.134.116 (talk) 01:42, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I rewrote it so it sounds less like an ad. Look OK for now? 207.216.222.107 (talk) 23:19, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Advice[edit]

The reception section requires expansion! somebody who have played the game have to do it. Nicrorus (talk) 04:37, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Plot[edit]

Right then, now since the game is focused on the story more than other games, there is of course plenty of detail to cover. However typical articles, especially game articles need to avoid going into too much detail and length. For example I know there is more narrative to cover than in the articles for Mass Effect. Now to be completely honest, currently the plot, while well detailed seems far too long with some very detailed aspects such as specific rather than general character actions. Also I'd leave in the small paragraph about the overall presentation either way. Stabby Joe (talk) 02:19, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. We can trim down a few of the specifics on battles and such, but there isn't much that can be removed without muddling the context. Most game articles wouldn't need, say, a back story section, but for Asura's Wrath it's necessary to keep track of what is going on and why. Part IV needs work done as well. Crazykiddxt2 (talk) 19:10, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Problem is though is that Wikipedia isn't for cover every detail that may relate to context. While I think the game and story are great, the narrative isn't anything remarkable or all to complex and yet in other works of media and art that do however have plenty to cover aren't this long on wiki. I think you could potentially even cut the overall word count in half with some correct reworking. Stabby Joe (talk) 00:12, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

True. Okay, at some point soon we'll go through the four acts and get it down to the core plot points. Is there anyone around that has additional screenshots of, say, the Deities? Crazykiddxt2 (talk) 19:37, 2 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How to improve the story section[edit]

Having seen to edit note of the story being to long and detailed for the standards of Wikipedia, it has been cropped and simplified to a point. This current state of course not a final version, far from it HOWEVER I would strongly recommend trying to keep within it's length, if possible even shorter. While there is plenty of narrative, backstory and characterization in the game, so are other longer games like many roleplaying and sandbox games, not to mention every book in general. Wikipedia does not require such detail.

Despite having said this, I know there are no doubt some plot points or descriptions that may need more detail but not beyond the current length, which itself is quite long for a video game story section. Please don't start an edit war. The more potential contributors the better since the ast attempt between just two people (me and Crazykiddxt2 being the last time) kind of fizzled out. Thank you. Supporting characters inspiration[edit]

I just like to note that not all supporting characters are based on the Asuras of Hindu and Buddhist mythology. For instance Yasha is based on the Yakshas of Hindu and Buddhist mythology. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.39.223.18 (talk) 17:13, 15 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Composer[edit]

I think there's a mistake about the composer. The page says that Kaoru Wada composed the main theme (In your belief), but the credits at the end of the game and VGMdb clearly mention that he's just the orchestrator and that Chikayo Fukuda is the actual composer. Does someone have some irrefutable proof about that? --KandemJV (talk) 13:41, 20 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

God of War Clone or a new Entrey in the Genre of Angry Deity-Slashing?[edit]

Is it just me or has Kratos lost his pale skin, got himself a new family to be murdered an now takes on the South- and Eastasian Pantheons? I'd be interesting if there was any controversy concerning the very much alike Stories combined with an equally alike Gameplay. Or maybe this is like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat that simply formed a new Genre of Gaming. In this particular case I'd name it "Angry Deity-Slashing". --78.53.6.141 (talk) 03:18, 1 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
