Depressing

It continually depresses me to see things like this being added to this and other Ashlee articles, as well as the Ashlee template. All of that stuff was completely made up. Yesterday I reverted someone who had created an entire article based on the completely false idea that "Murder" was going to be released as a single; they had also included "Murder" on the singles discography and the template. Sometimes this kind of misinformation sticks around for a while, spreading to fan sites in the process. Some people will take it as fact, because it's on Wikipedia, while for others it will only reinforce the notion that Wikipedia is full of unreliable junk. Episode 13 has not aired yet, so we cannot state for definate she hasn't been writen off. Ashlee vs. Ashley

This page previously stated that her birth name is "Ashley Nicole Simpson," and whoever made this edit included the following note: "Not 'Ashlee' - this is not an error/vandalism."

Given that both her BMI and ASCAP pages list her full name as "Ashlee Nicolle Simpson," and the only references I can find to her birth name being "Ashley Nicole Simpson" are this Wikipedia entry and pages quoting or syndicating it, I've edited this entry to state that her birth name is "Ashlee Nicolle Simpson." If you are going to edit it to state that her birth name is "Ashley Nicole Simpson," you need to provide a citation. - Aeonian (talk) 15:45, 23 October 2009 (UTC)

Removal

i think that the sales and ranking on the australian charts 1980-2010 should be removed, firstly the information came from a forum on an unofficial chart site, which itself is against wikipedia policy, also it is no big achievement and requires no coverage in my opinion, there are plenty of artists on that list without the information on their page, therefore i think it should be removed. 78.151.58.160 (talk) 21:43, 20 September 2010 (UTC)

Divorce

It's all over the news. Ashlee's divorcing Pete Wentz. The page should be updated to show that. There's hundreds of websites that mention it.

Jessica Simpson

No link in the actual article to her sister's page? No mention of the sister in the intro of the article? A cursory reader could be forgiven for not knowing they were related. 67.68.197.196 (talk) 00:07, 3 October 2012 (UTC)

Added Jessica's name to the (very short) lead section. I linked her name there, but there was another link to her in the "Early life and career beginnings" sub-section, which does mention them being sisters. Acalamari 08:08, 3 October 2012 (UTC)

Patent of her name?

Ashlee's name

Singer-songwriter

Does she write her own songs? The definition of a Singer-songwriter is that they sing mainly the songs that they write themselves. It's not clear to me that she does. Can someone clarify? LK (talk) 14:31, 19 August 2017 (UTC)

She is a singer and a songwriter. Being both does not fit into the common description at Singer-songwriter#Definition and usage. I'd agree if it was changed.--☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(ring-ring) 20:05, 26 August 2017 (UTC)

invisible in 'i am me'

Music genre

Who decided that Ashlee Simpson sings pop punk? I haven't found any citation for that claim, and knowing what pop punk is, she is not even associated from afar with it. --Esperfulmo (talk) 19:44, 10 March 2023 (UTC)
