If they are ten years old or older: LET BOYS DECIDE[edit]

non-medical circumcision of pre-teen boys should be outlawed http://www.timesofisrael.com/norwegian-official-jews-muslims-circumcise-out-of-ignorance/ LET BOYS DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES WHETHER OR NOT THEY WANT TO BE CIRCUMCISED http://www.mendocomplain.com/2013/09/30/historic-event-in-denmark-report-by-morten-frisch/ 91.61.200.47 (talk) 23:25, 22 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ritual circumcision is doing damage to the body f. e. reducing the sexual potentials - and so it is always against the well-being of a girl or a boy. Anne Lindboe is wrong in not declaring that any circumcision (on girls or boys) should be illegal, and now just organizing the right date of juvenile male circumcision. Lindboe: "Circumcision without a medical indication on a person unable to provide informed consent conflicts with basic principles of medical ethics." Dear Mrs Lindboe, as the ombudsman for children (and child according to the UN-Convention for the Rights of the Child is any human being below the age of eighteen years) you should state: "Circumcision without a medical indication conflicts with basic principles of medical ethics." Please never forget the principle PRIMUM NIHIL NOCERE First, Do Not Harm. 193.175.48.116 (talk) 10:34, 25 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Children's Ombudsman[edit]

In 2013 children's ombudsmen from Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, and Iceland, along with the Chair of the Danish Children's Council and the children's spokesperson for Greenland, passed a resolution to, "Let boys decide for themselves whether they want to be circumcised." http://www.crin.org/docs/English-statement-.pdf They further declared that "Circumcision without a medical indication on a person unable to provide informed consent conflicts with basic principles of medical ethics." http://www.secularism.org.uk/news/2013/10/nordic-childrens-ombudsmen-take-historic-step-to-protect-childrens-rights 91.61.215.216 (talk) 08:37, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lindboe considers the age of thirteen years for any boy being the adequate age of consent to get his genitals lifelong altered, as several sources quote her: "non-medical circumcision of pre-teen boys should be outlawed" (see: JTA, November 2013). 79.251.67.185 (talk) 17:32, 11 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
