Untitled[edit]

There is an American singer of religious music named Anne Marie David. Here's her website.

As you can see, the American has no hyphen in her name, but any Wikipedia user seeking an article on her would be redirected to this one, potentially causing confusion. A DAB would be good, and possibly in time an article about the other Anne Marie David, too. --Christofurio (talk) 17:34, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I object. Please do not insert content on an irrelevant person not meeting the WP:N criteria without prior consent on the talk page. Jaan Pärn (talk) 11:33, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No-one needs your permission to edit the article. See WP:OWN. Britmax (talk) 23:02, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It is not obvious to me that the American Anne Marie David is less notable than the European. And the potential for confusion is itself something that needs straightening out. You know how to get me to stop reverting this? Create a DAB, so people looking for the other one won't necessarily be sent here! In the meantime, I want the other one mentioned here.
You need an article to disambiguate to. Just be bold and create it and a DAB to that article will be fine by me. --Jaan Pärn (talk) 07:37, 23 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No actually, you don't need two distinct articles to have a DAB page. Its perfectly in accord with the rules for one of the names to start off as a red link and become a blue link only later. You seem to have developed some new rules of your own.
Anyway, I just wrote a rather stubby article in Anne Marie David (American singer). I'll work on the DAB tomorrow.
