Evangelical[edit]

Although the Diocese is predominantly evangelical now, it was not always thus. Until the mid 1980s, there was a mixture of churchmanship throughout the parishes.

I disagree with the statement, "Similar to the Dioceses of Sydeny and North West Australia...". Armidale has a much broader evangelical outlook than those dioceses. For example, in 2008, the Archbishop of Sydney (and the Sydney regional bishops) and the Bishop of NW Australia boycotted the Lambeth Conference. The Bishop of Armidale attended. Modified list of bishops[edit]

I have added the Bishops of the former Diocese of Grafton and Armidale.

I have also added H.E Cooper to the list of Bishops of Armidale, as he was definitely designated the "First Bishop of Armidale". Check the board in St Peter's Cathedral.

W.F. Wentworth-Shields signed his name "Wentworth Armidale" on my grandmother's confirmation certificate, so I have added his first Christian name as it was definitely what he used. Anglicant (talk) 00:20, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Diocesan schools[edit]

I have changed the description of the relationship of the diocese to the Anglican schools, as "responsible for the administration of..." was misleading and incorrect.

NEGS is now a privately owned school with some sort of diocesan affiliation. TAS has a different structure as well.

The day-to-day administration of Calrossy (and TAS and NEGS) lies with the principal. Anglicant (talk) 00:26, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
