Gaza issue[edit]

@Miranda6391: Please disclose your WP:Conflict of Interest with respect to Andrew Pessin. The material is not false or defamatory, but has been posted in national newspapers. Hemiauchenia (talk) 14:15, 6 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Hemiauchenia: I will update the article appropriately later this week and explicitly correct what I see to be false and misleading in the current version, with authoritative sources. Sorry if I have violated protocol to this point, I am not a fluid Wikipedia user and thought it was just easier to remove that material rather than edit it. Miranda6391 (talk) 10:53, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Miranda6391: Thank you for responding. I hope the following is helpful.

  • COI: Wikipedia recommends that you disclose if you have a WP:Conflict of Interest, but you do not need to disclose your identity. As your editing is almost exclusively related to this article the WP:Conflict of Interest Noticeboard discussion is likely to conclude that you do have a COI unless you can explain that you don't.
  • Reverting edits: Wikipedia has a WP:Three Revert Rule, which means that if you revert more than three times on a single page in 24 hours your account may be blocked.
  • Editing this article: as you appear to have a conflict of interest, Wikipedia recommends that you use a Template:Edit Request, rather than editing directly.
  • BLP: I recommend that you review the WP:Biographies of living persons policy and base your arguments on Wikipedia policies. TSventon (talk) 15:56, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Fences and windows: You said on the BLP noticeboard that you would write a neutral account of the incident, is this still something you are interested in doing? Hemiauchenia (talk) 20:34, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I found lots of sources already. Thank you for the reminder, I'll get to this shortly. Fences&Windows 21:40, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
