Mycenaean Period[edit]

"The Greeks knew about how to bury their dead."--This is not a sentence, unless it means "The Greeks knew approximately how to bury their dead." What is it supposed to say? Philgoetz (talk) 02:37, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Funeral rites and Solon[edit]

The Funeral rites section includes this text: "The Prothesis may have previously been an outdoor ceremony, but a law later passed by Solon decreed that the ceremony take place indoors."

Presumably Solon's law applied only to Athens, correct? Did the law have an effect on the Prothesis in the rest of Greece? The text should make this clear. Happy temporizer (talk) 01:51, 8 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
