Audition Table[edit]

Is this really appropriate? Just because the first two seasons went with the 4 crews from East West South Midwest format, doesn't mean this season will as well. It's just speculation at this point. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.97.112.172 (talk) 18:17, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I think this whole season 3 page is rubbish, considering all there is right now is an announcement and one comment from JC.63.135.243.8 (talk) 20:43, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

I was using Huggle and found that someone was vandalizing the page, so I reverted it, but as I was looking at the history of the page, it appears that it has been vandalized multiple times. I didn't want to just keep reverting the page to older and older histories because, well, we could loose good content. So, if somebody would undertake the task of rewriting the article (in spots) that'd be great! ;-) - Killiondude (talk) 07:49, 11 November 2008 (UTC) I'd like to add that this page needs to be semi-protected to prevent future vandalism. Week 4 Challenge[edit]

Has this been confirmed? The Whack Track Challenge that's currently up hasn't been confirmed on the official ABDC page, so, is it for real, or is somebody just messing around again? Confirmation would be helpful. HaikenEdge (talk) 16:45, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind, it's been confirmed. HaikenEdge (talk) 20:22, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, they always announce the next week's challenge after the end of the show. kashimjamed (talk) 23:06, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What about the Fly Khicks being placed at the bottom of the chart? Shouldn't they be placed second to bottom, because they won the battle against the Ringmasters?
I agree that that should be changed back, plus there needs to be something that indicates the 'running rabbit' is a combination of the 'roger rabbit' and 'running man', because the 'running rabbit' isn't a formal dance craze. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.184.89.188 (talk) 20:07, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The same for the Ringmasters in episode 3, they won the battle against Team Millenia so they should be placed second to bottom.

Episode 1[edit]

It seems there has been some editing conflicts on the Elimination Table concerning episode 1. I personally believe Boxcuttuhz should be listed as in the Btm 3 because there was so significant different between be in the bottom 3 and being in the bottom 2 besides call out. Chastayo (talk) 21:40, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, both Boxcuttuhz and Fly Khicks should have Btm 3 in their box for episode 1. There was nothing in the show to indicate that Boxcuttuhz was ranked higher than Fly Khicks during the first episode, so please stop changing Boxcuttuhz's box to say Btm 2, as this is incorrect information. Webpage Centering Format[edit]

Can someone give me some advice on how to fix the problem I'm encountering with this webpage? Every time I open up America's Best Dance Crew, Season 3, all the episode descriptions are formatted into center-page, instead of regular left-hand indent like the show description is. Every time I try to fix this and I ask for a webpage preview, Wikipedia tells me that the page after being saved will appear to be in normal format, but when I save the page the episodes still end up in center format. I'm not sure if this is just my computer or the entire website. Please respond with help.

-Thankyou very much, the page is back to normal :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.184.89.188 (talk) 21:47, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Episodes 4, 5 and 6? Center?[edit]

What happened to episodes 4,5, and upcoming 6? And also, why are the remaining episodes and their descriptions centered?

Someone changed it back kashimjamed (talk) 14:41, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Crews Section[edit]

At the end of the first paragraph it says " This is also the first season where the episodes are previously taped before the showing, whereas in the other seasons the shows were recorded live. " This is completely false. Seasons 1&2 were also previously taped before airing, the only live shows were the auditions & the finale. This season didn't have a live audition because the final crews were already chosen, but the finale of this show will most likely be live just like seasons 1&2. It should be deleted.

It is false, I deleted it :) kashimjamed (talk) 23:11, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Um..[edit]

How do you know Quest Crew is the winner of ABDC Season 3?? Was the finale on? kashimjamed (talk) 21:51, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind. kashimjamed (talk) 23:10, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Locked[edit]

The page is locked for me, and I used to edit the table so it's up to date but now I can't. How can it be unlocked for me?

Sabrams744 (talk) 00:04, 20 February 2009 (UTC) Sabrams744[reply]

It's also locked for me too. I'm skeptical about this, but it could prevent stuff like vandalism and false predictions. However, I believe that the episode six "challenges" should be changed, because the crews decided their own challenges and choreography based on inspiration from the video they were given, instead of being actually assigned a challenge. Especially with Beat Freaks receiving 'Hot N' Cold', they weren't challenged to incorporate the 'Louisville Slugger', but they chose to incorporate bat choreography because of the music video.
I agree that the term 'challenges' in the episode should be changed to something more inclusive.. Or that the challenges each group did, especially the Fly Khicks and Beat Freaks, should be changed. Perhaps these challenges should be added to the episode description, like "Each crew was given a video by a male or female superstar, that emmulated either 'girl power' or 'guy power', and were challenged to incorporate the spirit of the video in their choreography" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.184.89.188 (talk) 20:11, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Show Rigged??[edit]

I think there should be some discussion about the way that the Episode 6 show required a certain outcome from Episode 5... One that undermines the credibility of the show. I know there are at least a couple articles floating around suggesting the show could be rigged.

Perhaps a "Controversy" Section would be appropriate?

-Pyke —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.151.171.91 (talk) 02:44, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That's smart, but the show can't just be assumed to be rigged because of the episode six outcome. The Fly Khicks did end up performing better than the Strikers All-Stars, and their previous bottom 2 appearances didn't have an impact on the decision.

I agree that the show can't just assume to be rigged as a result of Episode 6. I'm mainly concerned with Episode 5 (rather than 6).

In Episode 5, the Bottom Two was allegedly Dynamic Edition and Fly Khicks. Dynamic Edition is a mixed group (boys and girls), Fly Khicks (all females) is not. It's also worth noting that Striker's All Stars (all male), Quest Crew (all male) and Beat Freaks (all female) are sole gender groups.

When Fly Khicks "won" between them and D.E. (despite arguably being out danced - but this isn't really relevant), it was immediately announced that Week 6 would be a Boys v. Girls showdown... That's not possible if D.E. advances. Up until that point, I'd been pretty skeptical - but that sealed it (at least for me) that the show is rigged.... Which is sort of why I feel a controversy section might be appropriate

As to Episode 6, truthfully, I haven't watched it yet. Just as a note btw: It's the *fourth* [in 6 episodes] bottom 2 appearance for Fly Khicks.

-Pyke —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.151.171.91 (talk) 11:13, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it is rigged. They must've decided who would've gone home to make up the next challenge. Also, when the crews recieved their videos for Boys vs Girls challenge, it was in Week 5. kashimjamed (talk) 23:10, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Episode 6 show description[edit]

I think that the wikipedia editors should replace or add to the current episode 6 description with this description, since it is more explainatory than the current: "Each crew was given a video by a male or female superstar that emmulated either 'girl power' or 'guy power', and were challenged to incorporate the spirit of the video in their choreography"

Yeah the current episode description isn't sufficient enough for me either
Same here, I really like the description that the user above did.
Every day I see the page edited, why can't editors just include that description and fix the episode charts???
It's been edited. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions

Week 7[edit]

This week on ABDC the crews will compete against each other in TWO challenges: the Hip-Hop Decathlon, which will only include five dances (a Half-Decath!), and the Last Chance Challenge. For the latter, the dancers will be creating original beats to groove to during their routine. For the Last Chance Challenge, the crews will be putting together their own songs to dance to.

The five songs the crews will be dancing to in the Decathlon are as follows…

“Closer” by Ne-Yo “Love Lockdown” by Kanye West “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga “I’m in LA (Miami) Trick” by LMFAO “Get Up” by 50 Cent

PLEASE POST THIS UP ON THE ABDC WIKI SITE CONSIDERING IT'S LOCKED !

Sabrams744 (talk) 00:29, 25 February 2009 (UTC)Sabrams92[reply]

Wikipedia editors, I advise you to edit some of this because the description isn't perfect.. "half-decath"??: This is what I believe the edited version should be:

This week on ABDC the crews will compete against each other in two challenges: the Hip-Hop Decathlon, which will include a master-mix of five various songs, and the Last Chance Challenge, where the crews will be creating their own songs to dance to.

The five songs the crews will be dancing to in the Decathlon are:

“Closer” by Ne-Yo “Love Lockdown” by Kanye West “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga “I’m in LA (Miami) Trick” by LMFAO “Get Up” by 50 Cent71.184.89.188 (talk) 00:43, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think the edited description dounds much better. Also, can the wikipedia editors PLEASE edit the elimination chart, as the next episode hasn't been diclosed yet?
I still don't think it's fair if we assume that Fly Khicks are going to be eliminated, we should at least wait until the actual episode to determine the actual results71.184.89.188 (talk) 00:43, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This is another suggestion, but in Season 2 when the top 3 were in the finale, and there were two separate challenges, editors on wikipedia subtitled these sparate challenges under the theme of the week, calling them "Challenge # 1: Groove Step Challenge" and "Challenge # 2: Dance Movie Challenge", with both of these titles having big text. I think to be consistant with the seasons editors should incorporate this into Season 3 71.184.89.188 (talk) 00:48, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

LOCK THIS PAGE[edit]

After tonight, please have one designated person to edit this page. Too many people MESS IT UP!

Sabrams744 (talk) 03:58, 27 February 2009 (UTC)Sabrams744[reply]

EXACTLY. This is so dissappointing, someone COMPLETELY deleted the entire page. Can the wikipedia editors somehow please restore it back to the way the page was before someone messed it up? This page took a whole lot of work to edit and perfect, and someone messing it up like this is ridiculous. 71.184.89.188 (talk) 04:22, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, lock this page. I bet that next week, mad fans will mess up the elimination table. Someone963852 (talk) 16:47, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The edits by the random IPs are cracking me up!! Someone please lock this article?? Someone963852 (talk) 00:11, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed the "Fly Khicks suck" comment in the elimination table. Although I agree with the comment and think it was ridiculous the fly Khicks made it to the final 3; comments like that undermine the article quality. - Pyke —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.151.171.91 (talk) 01:49, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

JabbawockeeZ Season 3 Winner?[edit]

Someone put that JabbawockeeZ won this season, probably switching them with Beat Freaks because they weren't listed on the elimination chart. Did the finale even air yet though? How can we say that for certain? Anyways, I fixed it, but at the bottom of the page where it lists the ABDC info it still lists JabbawockeeZ as being a winner. Can someone fix that?

Kay, nevermind.24.57.120.190 (talk) 02:32, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Quest Crew and Beat Freaks[edit]

Quest Crew absolutely did not deserve to win America's Best Dance Crew to Beat Freaks, and this whole season has been pretty controversial. The Beat Freaks delivered every week with hardly any negative criticism, and they were pushed even further to be the winners being an all-female crew. Can we add a controversy section for this season just to this article to explain the different controversies that happened?

-=-=-

I think a controversies section is appropriate, but ONLY if it addresses things like the fact that in Week 5, a certain outcome had to occur for Week 6 to make sense (suggesting the show is rigged).

I don't think Beat Freaks losing qualifies. Personally, I always thought Quest > Beat Freaks, and really, it would make more sense from a producer perspective to rig the show so BF won, not the other way around. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.151.171.91 (talk) 01:46, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, this isn't the place where you should give your thoughts on who should and shouldn't win but there SHOULDN'T be a 'Controversy Section.' Beat Freaks "hardy receive any negative critism" because the judges were favoring them and pushing an all female crew to win. (Same thing that happened on Season 2 with Shane Sparks and Super Cr3w.) If you wanted to put a Controversy Section, add that. Forget gender, Quest Crew deserved to win more.
Who gives a shit. So what an all boy crew won again
