It has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent from the musician or ensemble itself and reliable. Alu has been featured in the following national publications:

Has released music on one of the more important indie labels:. A remix of Alu's song "Recluse" is featured on the soundtrack to Clive Barker's "The Midnight Meat Train". The soundtrack was released by Lakeshore Records in July of 2008. Lakeshore Records is the independent music division of Lakeshore Entertainment, and they are known for releasing many award winning soundtracks including "Napoleon Dynamite", "Little Miss Sunshine", "Mr and Mrs Smith", "Underworld", "Resident Evil" and many, many more.

Has been placed in rotation nationally by any major radio network. Alu's music has been featured extensively on Echoes Radio/NPR, which broadcasts out to hundreds of radio stations throughout the country. Here is a list of stations that Echoes broadcasts out to and some info on Echoes Radio.
Alu's song "Circus Cosmos" was Echoes Radio Producer/host John Diliberto's #1 Song of 2008 and her sophomore CD "Lobotomy Sessions" made his Top Ten List of 2008 for Best Album. "Lobotomy Sessions" was also one of Echoes 25 Essential Albums of 2008 (Staff Picks and Listeners' Poll).
Echoes also produced an interview with Alu, which was featured several times on NPR:
