Renomination for deletion[edit]

I am puzzled as to why this has been renominated for deletion at this point. The article has hardly been touched since the result of the first debate was keep, and Allahpundit (the author) has only risen in notability since the debate as the main blogger at Michelle Malkin's Hot Air. As stated in Wikipedia:Deletion_policy:

If and when you do renominate, be careful to say why you think the reasons proffered for keeping the article are poor, and why you think the article must be deleted.

So far, this has not been done. Calbaer 21:32, 7 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Any mention that HotAir was purchased by Salem Media, owner of Townhall? Foamking (talk) 06:26, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Identity of Allahpundit?[edit]

I came to this page because I was curious about the actual identity of Allahpundit. If anyone out there has a name/affiliation/photo I think it would be a logical addition to this site. If, as I'm beginning to suspect, Allahpundit is reclusive and unwilling to reveal his real-life identity, I think that behavior, too, is noteworthy enough to be described in the article. Thanks. I mentioned it in my first version of the article with the single word "anonymous," which was later taken out (perhaps accidentally, perhaps by me). I'll readd it. Calbaer 19:19, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have long suspected Andy Levy, co-host and scriptwiter for Fox News' Red Eye w/Greg Gutfeld show is Allahpundit; for the first time in my recollection, Levy referenced "Hot Air blogger...I think it was Alla...Allahpundit" in a recent episode, and did so in a very wry way -- this of course amounts to annecdotal 'evidence' at best, and it's not something I have heard elsewhere. Just an interesting interjection on my part. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.108.196.96 (talk) 21:57, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Here's a direct interaction between Allahpundit and Andy Levy on Twitter. I don't think someone operating at the level Allah has in the blogosphere would Sockpocket like this. twitchy I think it's much more likely that like many libertarians he's placed high value on his privacy.2606:6000:66D9:9500:9949:BB3E:E4EA:2ED1 (talk) 01:32, 24 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that his/her identity isn't a key element of this article makes its authorship suspect. 204.65.210.30 (talk) 19:29, 4 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is Josh Barro, isn't it? I don't know whether to 'out' him— is it a safety concern? Or just privacy? Chevalier slv (talk) 19:35, 22 October 2016 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chevalier slv (talkcontribs) 19:33, 22 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Speculation on Identity[edit]

I've deleted speculation about AllahPundit's true identity, because it strikes me as a bit gossipy, and possibly a violation of "No Original Research." If there's some reason that it should be included, let me know. Scooge (talk) 22:27, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
