This entry was lifted straight from http://www.lib.virginia.edu/area-studies/SouthAsia/SAserials/Dawn/1995/09Ag95.html, which I can't find the copyright information for. Also it presents a very one-sided view of a man who founded and ran a bank that was eventually shut down for being essentially a giant ponzi scheme.
