Overview[edit]

Prose[edit]

Lead section[edit]

  • "Adore You" is a song by American recording artist Miley Cyrus from her fourth studio album, Bangerz (2013). → "Adore You" is a song recorded by American recording artist Miley Cyrus for her fourth studio album (no comma) Bangerz (2013).
  •  Done
  • Remove the parts about Hemsworth. To be honest, the references given in the Composition section are linking to sites with questionable reputability and there aren't enough to justify "wide" speculation either.
  •  Done
  • "The track performed moderately on national record charts throughout Europe and Oceania, although it was certified gold in Australia." → "Although" seems awkward here. Usually singles that perform moderately end up with Gold certifications anyway, so it could be "[...] and Oceania, with a gold certification in Australia."
  •  Done
  • "Its accompanying music video was leaked on December 25, 2013, and was officially premiered through Vevo on December 26, 2013.":
→ "accompanying" is redundant
→ "music video" can be wikilinked
→ "leaked" → surfaced online, as 'leaked' is too informal for Wikipedia
  •  Done all
  • The second paragraph has a bit of an assumption lying underneath. It is implied that Cyrus contacted Gervais after realizing the single underperformed, and this was not reported by any source on the website. Please rewrite so it doesn't seem original research. That being said, the sentence about the song underperforming should be next to the information of the chart performance.
  •  Done
  • "under-performed" → remove the hyphen
  •  Done

Background and composition[edit]

  • Add an iTunes Store reference to the length part of the text because when I read a booklet it doesn't give me lengths...
  • Remove the Hemsworth image please and the prose about him. (I wouldn't ask you to remove them, but the sources available aren't enough to have them here)
  •  Done

Critical reception[edit]

  • All in all, this section is very well written, but I have one minor suggestion to make it flow even better. As Jon Dolan and Heather Phares think basically the same, why not move Dolan's sentence next to hers and write something on it such as "Jon Dolan from Rolling Stone, who had a similar opinion to Phares', [...]".
  •  Done

Commercial performance[edit]

  • "It has since risen to number 21" needs source
  •  Done
  • You could expand on Streaming Songs charts which is not addressed
  •  Done

Promotion[edit]

Music video[edit]
  • I don't think the image is fundamental here, but in case you want to keep it, write a stronger rationale.
  •  Done
Live performances[edit]
  • This section is stubbish. Could you just write about how she is dressed in the MTV Unplugged performance; as well as in the Bangerz Tour' performance but in the latter, write on how she moved around the stage, how she interacted with the public (if that's the case), just try to expand it please.
  •  Done

Cedric Gervais remix[edit]

  • "An alternate cover was revealed through Gervais' SoundCloud account on February 12;[48] like the original, it shows the lower half of Cyrus' face covered by a bouquet of roses, although with a red and blue filter applied to the image. The all-capitalized sans serif font with the title "Adore You" beneath her face is replaced with larger, italicized text reading "Miley Cyrus vs Cedric Gervais" and "Adore You (Remix)" placed at the top of the image; the Spinnin' Records logo is placed in its center, covering much of Cyrus' picture.[49]" → The first reference doesn't have any text to prove it, just the image and the latter is one of the most unreliable sources in terms of music websites. Remove the block entirely as it isn't really adding anything to the article.
  •  Done
  • "The remix for "Adore You" peaked at number two on the Beatport Top 100,[57] " → irrelevant chart
  •  Done

Charts[edit]

  • Add US Streaming Songs please
  •  Done

References[edit]

  • The references should have the authors displayed in Last Name, First Name style. This is mandatory.
  •  Done
  • FN15 shouldn't have 'Inc.' in Time Inc.
  •  Done
  • The Huffington Post should not be italicized.
  •  Done
