Adiabatic MRI pulses[edit]

I don't quite agree with the explanatory equations given for the hyperbolic secant pulse (A(t) = Ao*sech(Bt), w1(t) = -µB * tanh(Bt)). Particularly, omega1 (w1 in the previous) should be understood as the precession frequency around the B1 field, not its radial frequency. So shouldn't the second of the two equations use the subscript rf (rotating frame, or radio frequency) instead of '1'? 108.26.204.242 (talk) 17:24, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree the subscript 1 should be dropped in favour of RF as a better label, which should also be applied in the section above which uses an un-subscripted omega = dphi/dt. Maybe the author can weigh in? 128.189.26.0 (talk) 02:59, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Figure 4[edit]

Unless I'm mistaken the figure caption for Figure 4 is incorrect about the left and right cases, wouldn't there be inversion from the right plot but not the left which is so off-resonance that the final B effective is still pointing up along z? 128.189.26.0 (talk) 03:02, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
