I feel it would be more helpful to those wanting to know what Achlys is the personification of if the concept of "death-mist" were explained rather than merely named. Is this a mythical phenomenon, or an old Greek name for something known to exist in nature? If it's the former, what do the myths say about it, and if it's the later, what would we know it as today? Does this "mist" cause people to die (some sort of toxic gas, perhaps?) or was it thought to be something that appears in the presence of death?
