Camping coach served by loops off the main line.[edit]

The fourth paragraph of history now reads:

The station had been the location of a Camping coach. It was originally served by loops off the main line in both directions, but the eastbound one was removed in the late 1980s and the main line realigned to pass through the platform. However the westbound one remained in use until early 2017 - it was decommissioned over the weekend of 8/9 January. The loop has now been lifted and the platform extended out to reach the remaining main line. ...

I recall reading an earlier version of this paragraph and wondering exactly what it meant when it said the camping coach was served by loops off the main line in both directions. With the latest changes it is even more confusing as it seems to imply the camping coach (a) no longer exists and (b) is now on the mainline. Having reread it several times, I wonder if the camping coach is a red herring, and the 'it' that starts the second sentence actually relates to the station rather than (as normal English rules would suggest) the camping coach. I'm tempted to copy edit the whole para in that light, but I thought I'd better see if anybody else can throw any light first. -- chris_j_wood (talk) 10:19, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
