User:Bungle: Removed "notability" warning from the article. The notice is unwarranted. Nor is the is the book "self-published.

@CerroFerro: It's perhaps worth noting that tags generally relate to the article as a whole, not specific references provided (also it's a "may", not explicit). It was more around that the article is currently sourced to a single book and so clear notability cannot be asserted while that is the case. That doesn't discount the source that currently exists, but implies it needs more to clearly ensure notability is met. I would suggest, Bungle, that you refrain from spurious claims concerning "self-published" works. Your effort to question the source, a source which includes commentary and analysis by Gore Vidal, Maureen Howard, Daniel Stern and Bernard Bergonzi, is fundamentally misleading. The article is a Start Class in progress. Keep that in mind before you start plastering the article with warnings. CerroFerro (talk) 16:14, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You are missing the point, i'm afraid. The sources themselves are not being tagged. Tags on articles are not "warnings", but advisories for other editors to assess. The one you just mentioned, "self-published", is not too unreasonable when the article starts with A Hundred Camels in the Courtyard is a collection of short fiction by Paul Bowles.. and one of the books noted in the "Sources" section is actually authored by Paul Bowles himself. I can't change the wording in the tags, but I would still advise it needs more than 1 source. Anyway, I don't want to get into a long-winded discussion about it. Nobody has tagged it for deletion and i'd suggest you continue to improve so that notability is clearly asserted. Bungle ^{(talk • contribs)} 16:37, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
