Has the route the A442 takes been altered recently? Newer maps show that the road now ends at Hodnet, where it meets the A53 by-pass there. I think it no longer goes through Hodnet, terminating at the A53. Haven't found actual proof yet though, other than maps now ommit the later part of the route!
