Possible article hijack[edit]

The mention of a 1995 TV film starring Randy Quaid requires evidence that it is related to the article subject. I suspect it is not; the phrase Ed McBain's 87th Precinct prefaced the titles of three telefilms produced and aired by NBC between 1995 and 1997. They were not a continuation of the article subject, they were new adaptations with a different cast. If it can't be shown by reliable citation that these three productions are a revival of the TV series, then the section must be removed from this article.
