9th Marines[edit]

Why are the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Battalions of the 9th Marines actually assigned to different regiments? So technically the 9th Marines is not a unit? Can someone explain this? --Daysleeper47 (talk) 15:28, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Insignia[edit]

The current insignia is slightly wrong. According to https://www.2ndmardiv.marines.mil the star just above the thumb of the hand should be noticeably inside the main right star, not almost inline with it or outside of it as depicted now. inaccurately info on Mar Div in Guadalcanal[edit]

The 1st Marine Division landed on Guadalcanal. The page erroneously places 2nd Marine Division in Battle of Guadalcanal JohnDebba (talk) 04:38, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
