Merge with Sergey Furgal[edit]

As far as we can tell from the sources, those events are directly linked to the arrest of Sergey Furgal. Half the page ("context") sums up Sergey Furgal's latest political struggles. The events are described as massive for the region but they are still small numbers, and nothing indicates that those protests have any other purpose than to support Sergey Furgal. Merging this page with the page Sergey Furgal seems appropriate to avoid a political use of Wikipedia and to restore the editorial best practices. If the protests were to grow wider and beyond the arrest of Sergey Furgal, maybe then we should reconsider creating this page again. --Jennycourt (talk) 10:51, 13 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As of today I'm not agree with merging, the protests continue for the eighth day with up to 60 thousands of people appeared on them. These are very big numbers for Russia. It's not strictly linked to the Furgal's arrest, protesters also shout anti-government slogans. --Wolverène (talk) 09:11, 18 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I had to go over the sources to rectify the vague and misleading "tens of thousands" used repeatedly to estimate the number of rally participants. There is obviously an attempt to make those rallies bigger than they actually are. Since this is an ongoing event, precaution is required. Article name[edit]

The name of the article was changed to "2020 Russian protests". Should this not be something like "2020 Khabarovsk Krai protests" or "2020 Khabarovsk protests" for the time being? While there have been protests in cities in other regions, these were tiny in size compared to the ones in Khabarovsk. For the 2019 Moscow protests article, there were protests in other cities, however the article name isn't "2019 Russian protests". Mellk (talk) 03:45, 20 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
