Okay, this page needs some work, particularrly with the drama surrounding this election.

New sections should inculde

1. Labor pre-selection battle

2. Les Twentyman enters the race

3. Campaign promises

4. The Other Creek revelves checker past for Twentyman.

Results[edit]

The two candidate count that appears on the VEC site is unofficial. It is important to understand that this was simply the indicative count between the VEC's two chosen candidates for election night purposes. It was not the final count. The official distribution of preferences stopped once the Labor candidate reached 50%. At this point the Liberal candidate still led Twentyman. We have no way of knowing if Twentyman would have made the final runoff.
