Do you have a source for that? The one I read said the owner of the Stars bought the Reds franchise and kept the name.. not that they became a different team named the Stars. Spanneraol (talk) 13:51, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Cincinnati Enquirer 04-03-1880. Article talks about the new Stars team of the National League.

Cincinnati Enquirer 04-27-1880. Article talks about the "new Cincinnati team."
