Clarity[edit]

Hi @Onel5969! Thanks for all you do and also adding the orphan tags. From the link on the tag, I saw the Criteria for adding the Orphan article tags, see info below:

An article is orphaned if no other articles link to it. In Wikipedia's early days, editors added Template:Orphan to mark both orphaned articles and articles with relatively few incoming links. The use of the template has since been restricted. It is now recommended to only place the tag if the article has zero incoming links from other articles. The template is only shown temporarily, under certain circumstances. Adding this template to any article is not strictly necessary, and many editors prefer to add it only when they believe that the article should be linked from many others. A single, relevant incoming link is sufficient to remove the tag. Three or more incoming links will help ensure the article is reachable by readers. Learn more here

From the last sentence, an article with a single relevant incoming link is sufficient... The article ọjà has 9 linked articles on the mainspace

My concerns are:

  1. Are these linked articles not relevant?
  2. Are there specific kinds of articles that are to be linked to new articles?

I look forward to learning more from you. Thank you. Olugold (talk) 13:17, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Sorry, not sure how you are coming up with 9 linked articles. If you look at this report, you'll see it has zero incoming links from existing WP articles. Onel5969 TT me 13:23, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ah! Now I see! Thanks 😊 for the clarification. I have a better understanding from the report. I'm sorry the 9 linked articles I referred to are outgoing links from the Ọjà article itself. I have linked some article to Ọjà and also linked a disambiguation page to it. I'll continue working on it in hopes it will be fit for the mainspace. Hope it's safe to remove the tag now.
Thanks once more👍 Olugold (talk) 13:53, 11 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
