The Imperial Crown (German: Reichskrone) was the crown worn by the kings and emperors of the Holy Roman Empire from the High Middle Ages. The majority of Kings of the Romans since Conrad II were crowned with it. The Imperial Crown was the most important element of the Imperial Regalia, which also included the Imperial Cross, the Imperial Sword and the Holy Lance. During the coronation ceremony it was given to the new king together with the sceptre and the Imperial Orb.
