Pablo Alfonso Monroy Reyes (born 22 July 2002) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a full-back for Liga MX club UNAM.

Club career[edit]

Monroy is a homegrown player from the Pumas UNAM youth academy[2] and made his debut for the Pumas senior team on 16 February 2023, playing 75 minutes in a 3-1 Liga MX Clausura loss against Necaxa.[3] While Monroy has primarily been deployed as a right-back, he has proven to be a key utility player as he has filled in as a left-back as well.[4]

International career[edit]

Monroy made his debut for the Mexico U-23 team on 12 June 2023 in a 2-0 loss to Australia at the 2023 Maurice Revello Tournament.[5] He also participated for Mexico at the 2023 Pan American games,[6] even providing an assist in the bronze-medal match to help Mexico earn a bronze medal at the tournament[7][8] before returning to Pumas for club duty.[9]
