Mann Sundar (transl. Beauty of the Heart) is an Indian romantic drama series produced by Suzana Ghai under the banner of Panorama Entertainment. It premiered on 18 October 2021 on Dangal. From 2021 until 2023, The series starred Shruti Anand and Shivam Khajuria as Ruchita and Nihar. Currently Nancy Roy and Dev Aditya portray the roles of Ruhi and Nahar in the second generation.

Plot

Ruchita, an idealistic woman, lives with her family in Uttar Pradesh and works at a company called Goyal Jewellers in Jaipur which was owned by a famous businessman, Naresh Goyal, who is also Shreedhar's friend who is Ruchita's father. Nihar, the youngest son of Naresh is in love with Amrita, Ritu's sister. The family fixes Nihar and Ruchita's marriage but Nihar tries runs away with Amrita but Amrita leaves London for her education as Nihar marries Ruchita without a choice but he blamed her for this and starts to hate her.

Nihar's mother, Poonam and his grandmother don't like Ruchita due to her dark skin and they try to expel her from Nihar's life. After many struggles, Nihar starts to like Ruchita and accepts her as his wife. But, Poonam and Daadi plot against Ruchita. Amrita returns to India after learning of Ruchita and Nihar's marriage and decides to separate and is assisted by Poonam and Daadi. But they fail. Amrita falsely blames Ruchita by pushing Daadi into an accident but she survives the incident. But the entire family except Nihar blames and expels her. Ruchita learns the truth about Amrita and tries to reveal it, but she poisons her. Ruchita falls unconscious and kidnaps her while the entire family believes that Ruchita is dead.

Ruchita returns to expose Amrita as she scares her as her ghost as she confesses the entire truth but she fakes her pregnancy, causing Nihar to announce his marriage to Amrita. Ruchita learns about this and she stops Nihar from marrying Amrita by exposing her crimes to everyone as Nihar blames Amrita and Ritu disowns her after learning about her truth as Ruchita expels Amrita.

Amrita seeks vengeance against Ruchita and Nihar and creates many problems and fakes her own death as Ritu blames him for her death and is arrested as her mother, Meera manipulates Ritu against the family to avoid the family to bail Nihar. Ruchita investigates this and gathers evidence and learns that Amrita is still alive and exposes Amrita and Meera and is arrested by bailing Nihar. Preeti, who is Naresh and Poonam's long-lost daughter, and Prateek, Nihar's sister, seeks revenge on the family and creates problems between them as Daadi hides her secret. Ruchita learns of Daadi's secret and exposes Preeti to everyone, they do not know that Preeti came to inherit their wealth. Preeti causes many problems including Prateek and Nihar's fight due to which their house to binded in two parts. Ruchita discovers Preeti's intentions and exposes Preeti to the family as Preeti is arrested.

Poonam, whom still hates Ruchita decided to oust her from Nihar's life as she paralyses Naresh into an electric shock and blames it on Ruchita. But Nihar discovers this and he finds she is innocent but Poonam emotionally blackmails Nihar as Nihar has no other choice and reluctantly divorces Ruchita. So Poonam's plan to oust Ruchita succeeds.

6 Months later

Ruchita is now lives with her family and works at a renowned company as Nihar is living with his family and is married to a women named Aanchal, but their marriage is faked as Nihar causes her family to suffer in an accident. Ruchita and Nihar meet each other but she is heartbroken to learn of his marriage with Aanchal. Poonam still hates Ruchita and is affected after her return as Aanchal becomes obsessed with Nihar and plans to separate both Ruchita and Nihar with the help of Poonam.

Aanchal creates many problems as Ruchita and Nihar is reunited, Naresh returns from paralysis as Aanchal faked her pregnancy with her aunt, Tai Maa's, help as Nihar decided to marry her as Ruchita learns of Aanchal's feigned pregnancy and exposes her as Poonam's truth is also exposed. Aanchal and Tai Maa kidnap Poonam and she demands Nihar to marry her. Ruchita saves Nihar and Poonam from Aanchal's clutches as Aanchal and Tai Maa are arrested.

Poonam throws Ruchita into a river to remove Ruchita from Nihar's life. Some hermits save Ruchita and she returns disguised as Ritika Ahuja an NRI as she had saved the real Ritika from a fire as her father had sent her for a business deal with Naresh as she helps Ritika by completing her business deal with Naresh and finally she reveals her identity to everyone. Ruchita realises that she is pregnant with Nihar's child and tries to make this known. Disha, Prateek's former lover, comes with her son and threatens Prateek about their truth. But Nihar learns the truth and Prateek tells him to hide the secret as Nihar makes the family believe the child is his. Nihar tries to confess the truth but Ritu learns the truth and learns Pinku's truth. To avoid this she writes a letter to Ruchita under Nihar's name which leads her to leave this house by hiding her pregnancy from everyone.

5 years later

Ruchita is now successful and raises her and Nihar's daughters, Ruhi and Juhi, while Nihar now raises Prateek and Disha's son, Pinku. Both Ruchita and Nihar miss each other as Nihar meets Ruhi and Juhi unaware that they are his daughters. Ruchita and Nihar meet each other and he learns about Ruhi and Juhi's truth and exposes them to the family. Ruhi is revealed to be an orphaned girl who had left her five years before Ruchita bore her daughter, Juhi. Poonam learns about Ruhi's truth and she exposes Ruhi as Poonam hates her due to being an orphan.

Nihar confesses his parentage to his daughters and reunites them while Disha fakes her act as Ritu decided to destroy the evidence as Ruchita learns about Disha's deception exposes her truth to the family. Disha murders Ritu but it is blamed on Ruchita. Ruchita learns about Disha's involvement in Ritu's murder exposes Disha to the family and she is arrested. Nihar is killed in a bomb blast planted by a woman named Monica whom she posed as Prateek's girlfriend as she is a terrorist whose intends to destroy the country as Nihar is blamed for the blast. Ruchita, helped by her classmate and an ACP officer, Ved Vardhan, decided to investigate this and they learn Monica's true identity. Monica plants a bomb in Ruhi, Juhi and Pinku's school but Ruchita saves them as Monica dies in a blast and finally Ruchita proves Nihar's innocence to everyone.

15 years later

Ruchita's daughters Ruhi and Juhi are now grown up as Ruchita is shown to be dead. Ruhi is the replica of Ruchita while Juhi is also a replica of Nihar whereas Pinku is being married to a woman named Palak, but Poonam still hates Ruhi and decides to get rid of Ruhi by fixing her marriage. One day, Ruhi is being saved by a man from assault by Nahar Goenka, the son of a businessman, Ratan Goenka, whose wife had died in an accident and he then married Soni. Nahar lives with his grandmother, Sumitra, and his stepbrother, Samar, and his step-sister Avni and his brother-in-law Romil whom he married to Avni.

Ruhi and Nahar to begin fall in love as Soni fixes his marriage with Ruhi whom she thinks is suitable for Nahar as the entire family had accepted this but Poonam disagrees and decides to replace Ruhi with Juhi as she thinks that Juhi is only perfect as Nahar's wife. Sumitra accepts Juhi and Poonam manipulates Soni against Ruhi to stop this marriage but fails. However, on the marriage day Poonam locks Ruhi in a room and tries to make Juhi marry Nahar. Ruhi and Juhi escape as Ruhi marries Nahar. But Sumitra learns about Ruhi and Nahar's marriage as she doesn’t accept Ruhi as her daughter-in-law and she schemes to remove Ruhi from Nahar's life. Poonam is enraged after this and she exposes Ruhi's truth to everyone as they finds out Ruhi is being orphan as Sumitra starts to hate Ruhi even more.
