John Beitler (died 1873) was an American politician from Pennsylvania. He served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing Chester County in 1843.

Biography[edit]

John Beitler was born in Chester County, Pennsylvania.[1]

Beitler was a farmer.[1] He was a Whig and Republican. He served as a Whig member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing Chester County in 1843.[1][2] He also held local political offices in his township.[1]

Beitler married Anna Evans. They had two sons and three daughters, John Jr., Jesse, Hannah, Mary and Sarah.[1] His son John worked as postmaster. Beitler lived in Lionville.[1] He died in 1873, aged 92, in Lionville. He was buried at the Friends' Burying Ground.[1]
