I found a PDF version of Megatokyo and loved the multicolumn layout. It would be cool if it determined an image larger or table needed break columns based on content. — Dispenser 00:49, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

The PDF you mention above was not generated with the book tool. I agree that the multicolumn layout looks nice, but I expect problems when switching to a multicolumn layout. The reason is that the Wikipages are designed on an "arbitrarily" wide screen. Transforming that into a fixed width page can lead to problems. See page 8 of the referenced PDF where a long URL is printed over the page border. -- Volker.haas (talk) 08:36, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

Problems

I'm currently having serious issues with a book I created with a fair few pages in, located at User:Dottydotdot/Books/Economics. Every time I try and render it as a pdf it fails and the one time it was successful the resulting pdf was corrupted. Can anyone else do it? Dotty••| 19:45, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Looks like a bug in PDF generation. For me PDF generation was successful, but I got an error message (corrupted document) when trying to open it. Andreas Kaufmann (talk) 11:39, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Which PDF reader are you using? I am using Foxit-Reader and did not encounter any errors. --He!ko (talk) 18:49, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
On the PDF-Server each rendering job gets a limited amount of resources (CPU, RAM). These where exhausted by above collection. Increasing the RAM limit fixed above problem. --He!ko (talk) 18:49, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Yep, works now, thanks! Dotty••| 11:07, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Gallery tag - does not print

The Gallery tag does not appear in books. Is there a reason for this? Could it be changed? I would like to see it. Wiki-uk (talk) 06:00, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

Could you please give an example article. Gallery tags should be printed and I am not aware of a general problem. Volker.haas (talk) 11:37, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Example: Mishkín-Qalam. Wiki-uk (talk) 13:50, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
This was indeed a bug that occured when galleries where the only content of a section. Thanks for reporting this issue. The bugfix should be online in the next couple of days.

Broken link

The link to the discussion describing the problems with PediaPress is broken. If someone in the know could fix it, that'd be great. --Padraic 18:45, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
