VonRyan Elrod Jr., known better by his stage name VonRyan the Genius, is an American rapper and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. Known for his cool get money persona, his eccentric knack for design and music production. VonRyan the Genius initially rose to popularity in 2021 after the release of his single Scamillionaire, where it garnered attention on Spotify.[1] He signed with The Universe Records in late 2017.

Early life[edit]
VonRyan the Genius was born on May 27, 1994[verification needed] in East Nashville, Tennessee. He was the subject of a federal case in 2009,[1] being arrested at age 14 in class at his high school by FBI agents for the production, passing and selling of counterfeit money.

Career[edit]
VonRyan signed himself to The Universe Records recording label in 2017. On July 28 of 2021, Genius released his debut single "Scamillionaire". On May 21, 2023, Genius released his second single, “Locked Tf In!”, under his label.
Musical style[edit]
VonRyan the Genius began making music that had Auto-Tune laced vocals. In 2021, he transitioned to a style that used "melodic guitar trap beats", which became a Audiomack staple following the release of Money Man's Grow God. He also adopted an unorthodox melodic rapping style that has been compared to Money Man, Young Dolph, Babyface Ray and Starlito. VonRyan stated in an Interview with Shirley Ju that,[1] “ If he had to describe his sound, he said it’s laidback, cool, motivational to go and get the money!”
