The Commoners are a Canadian Roots/Rock band from Southern Ontario signed to Gypsy Soul Records. The quartet is comprised of Chris Medhurst (lead vocals/guitar), Ross Hayes Citrullo (lead guitar), Ben Spiller (bass), and Adam Cannon (drums). Often accompanied by Miles Evans-Branagh on organ/keyboard, the band has released two albums and one EP since 2015, with a third album set for release in summer 2024.

Their debut EP Streetlights was independently released in January 2015.
The band's debut album No Stranger was released in August 2016 via Gypsy Soul Records.
In November 2022, the band released their second album Find A Better Way via Gypsy Soul Records. The album is the first to feature Adam Cannon on percussion. Recorded at RHC Music in Toronto, Ontario, the album's title track was mixed by award-winning producer Kevin Shirley.[1]. Upon the release of Find A Better Way, The Commoners toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe. In April 2023, they completed a co-headline tour with Troy Redfern in the UK[2], followed by another round of UK dates in support of Grammy-nominated Samantha Fish and Jesse Dayton's Death Wish Blues tour in October 2023[3][4]. Singles from the album include "Fill My Cup", "Find A Better Way", and "Too Much", all of which have received extensive radio play on the UK's rock radio station Planet Rock.
In September 2023, The Commoners released the first single, "Devil Teasin' Me", from their third full length album Restless (Gypsy Soul Records, 2024). The single was immediately added to Planet Rock radio's playlist, garnering over 100 plays over a 10-week run[5]
