Museum of Solutions (MuSo) is a 10 storey museum in Kamala Mills, Lower Parel, Mumbai. It launched in November 2023.[1][2] and contains a range of activities for children to engage with.
It's stated vision is to be:
A unique experiential museum, where children become responsible, conscious, caring, and mindful citizens of the world.[3]
It builds on a constructivist pedagogy, and has taken inspiration from many science centres and children's museums around the world. It is the first of its kind in India.
Organisation[edit]
It is established by the JSW foundation, and led by Tanvi Jindal Shete. Amongst many precedents used in the research for this project are OliOli, UAE, Exploratorium, San Francisco, and Experimentarium in Denmark.
Facilities[edit]
Activities range from maker spaces, to an exhibition about oceans, water use, and the dangers of rubbish in the sea, to interactive science exhibits[4][5]
There is also an open performance space.
MuSo have partnered with Subko coffee to run a cafe and food provision in the museum[6].
