K. K Aneesh Kumar (born 16 May 1978) is an Indian politician, advocate, and General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Kerala, India.

Early life and education[edit]

Aneesh Kumar was born on 16 May 1978, to K M Kesavan in Kodavamparambil House, Kerala. He completed his secondary education at H S Peringode, graduating with an SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) in 1993. Aneesh Kumar pursued his Pre-Degree Course (PDC) at Sreekrishna College in Guruvayur from 1993 to 1995.

For his Bachelor's degree, he enrolled at Sree Vivekananda College in Kunnamkulam, where he completed his B.Com degree from 1995 to 1998. Continuing his education at the same institution, Aneesh Kumar obtained his M.Com degree between 1998 and 2000. He then pursued LL.B at the prestigious Government Law College in Thrissur, graduating in 2005.

Political career[edit]

After completing his legal education, Aneesh Kumar began practicing as a lawyer at the Sessions Court in Thrissur from 2005 onwards. He has been actively involved in the legal profession and has gained recognition for his expertise and dedication.

Throughout his academic years, Aneesh Kumar displayed leadership skills and involvement in various student organizations. In 1997. In 2000, he held the position of Chairman at Sree Vivekananda College. He served as the Guruvayoor Taluk Secretary for ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) from 1996 to 2000. In 2001 and 2002, he was a member of the ABVP State Committee.[1] In 2010, Aneesh Kumar became the District President of Yuva Morcha, the youth wing of the BJP. He later served as the State Vice President of Yuva Morcha in 2012. Aneesh Kumar's commitment and organizational skills propelled him further within the party, and in 2016, he assumed the position of BJP District General Secretary. In 2020, he was appointed as the District President of the BJP.[2][3][4]

Apart from his political engagements, Aneesh Kumar has also contributed to the legal profession. From 2015 to 2021, he served as the Additional Standing Counsel for the Central Government.[5]

Personal life[edit]

Aneesh Kumar is married to Dr. Amudha, a pediatrician at the Government Medical College in Palakkad. The couple has a daughter named Namami Aneeshkumar, who is currently a first-grade student at Bhavans Vidyamandir in Palakkad.[6][7]
