One-Percenter or 1%er is a 2023 Japanese action film written & directed by Yudai Yamaguchi and stars Tak Sakaguchi in the lead role, alongside Kensuke Sonomura, Sho Aoyagi, Itsuji Itao, Kenjirō Ishimaru and Keisuke Horibe.[1]
Overview[edit]
Takuma Toshiro, an aged action star, sets out to make a pure action film without wires and CGI. Toshiro and his sidekick Akira goes to an island for the film shooting, but they learn that a family of Yakuza members are present in the island, fighting to find the treasure of their recently departed leader. Toshiro, instead of getting captured or hiding, decides to engage the Yakuza members with his martial arts skills and have Akira film from the sidelines so that they can clear out the gangsters and shoot their film at the same time.
