Categorization[edit]

There's a disagreement on how to categorize the category. The longstanding categorization is in Category:Sociologists by field of research. Euroflux wants to change this to Category:Sociologists of innovation on the grounds that "sociology of science and sociology of innovation can be regarded as synonymous". I think this is clearly not the case but if it is, we should merge Category:Sociologists of innovation and Category:Sociologists of science. I would further note that innovation and science are not the same thing and that neither is a subset of the other. Indeed Category:Science and Category:Innovation are separate categories and neither is a subcategory of the other. Finally, it's also absurd to remove this category from Category:Sociologists by field of research. Pichpich (talk) 15:37, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
