Name problem: Animals can't be actors.[edit]

I'm a bit confused about the name of this section and the way the term appears in several articles. People can be actors. Acting is a craft and every dictionary I can find defines an actor as "a person" or similar. Animals are performers. Animals can be trained to perform feats, but a dog does not pretend to be another dog with a different personality. Even if you train a harmless dog to pretend to attack someone, the dog is not inhabiting a character, it is simply performing the actions it has been trained to perform. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pwoodfor (talk • contribs) 02:19, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
