WikiProject Animals To-do:

Untitled[edit]

I would say based on this categories description, this category should be the only acting category that these animals are in. In general we should not be mixing human and animal categories.John Pack Lambert (talk) 19:20, 21 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Name problem: Animals can't be actors.[edit]

I'm a bit confused about the name of this section and the way the term appears in several articles. People can be actors. Acting is a craft and every dictionary I can find defines an actor as "a person" or similar. Animals are performers. Animals can be trained to perform feats, but a dog does not pretend to be another dog with a different personality. Even if you train a harmless dog to pretend to attack someone, the dog is not inhabiting a character, it is simply performing the actions it has been trained to perform. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pwoodfor (talkcontribs) 02:19, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
