The list of French conductors contains an amount of errors. Jehan Alain, organist and composer, never was a conductor. Michel Beroff, Raoul Pugno, Bruno Rigutto, Pierre Sancan, were pianists, not conductors. Elisabeth Brasseur, Marcel Couraud, Yvonne Gouverné, Bernard Têtu were/are choir masters, not conductors. Fernand Oubradous was a bassoonist, not a conductor. Alain Pâris is a composer and musicologist, not a conductor. Marcel Peres is a singer, leader of early music ensembles, not a conductor. Jo Bouillon was the leader of his own jazz band, Franck Pourcel and Caravelli the founders and owners of entertainment bands exclusively composed of strings, not conductors of symphony orchestras. And so many others, listing them would be too long. Where is the information taken for such a list ?
