57 Seconds is a 2023 American science fiction thriller film directed by Rusty Cundieff, written by Cundieff and Macon Blair, and starring Josh Hutcherson and Morgan Freeman. It is based on the story "Lucifer" by E.C. Tubb.[2][3][4]

Plot[edit]

Blogger Franklin thwarts an attack against Anton Burrell, a visionary tech guru he has been given a chance to interview. He finds a ring that Burrell dropped and discovers that it gives its wearer the ability to travel 57 seconds into the past. Franklin decides to use it to take revenge against the pharmaceutical company that was responsible for his twin sister's death.

But in the meantime, Franklin also uses it for his own advantage, until he realizes that is the wrong thing to do with it.

He wins over Jala, going back 57 seconds several times until he can figure what she expects in a man or changing the circumstances that he finds himself in with her so she will continue in a relationship with him.

He goes to a casino & plays roulette, & guesses the wrong number, but goes back 57 seconds & picks the right number. He has loads of cash by the time he walks out the of casino, but gets sucker punched by one of the staff, wanting to know how he's cheating because no one is capable of having the odds he has. [5]
