The 18th Actors and Actresses Union Awards ceremony was held on 9 March 2009 at the Teatro Circo Price in Madrid.[1]

The cast of Camino swept most of the film awards.[1][2] In addition to the competitive awards, the Teatro Yeses (and its founder Elena Cánovas) received the 'Mujeres en Unión' award, María Asquerino the 'Toda una vida' career award and the Special Award went to TVE's film show Versión española [es].[1][2] The gala was directed by actress and dancer Eva del Palacio.[2]
