I created a draft page for Kathryn Hess, but cannot seem to figure out how to publish it into a real page. If anyone can help me with that it'd be a great help. Jonathanbeardsley (talk) 06:36, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your work on this. The main things I would suggest are (1) make sure every fact stated in the article is cited to a published reliable source (fr.wikipedia may have different sourcing standards than we do, or the article there may be deficient in its sourcing as well, but currently this doesn't appear to be the case); (2) only link to off-wikipedia sources in footnotes or an "external links" section, not in the main article text; see WP:EL; if possible, in the "publications" section, make clear that these are selected publications rather than all of her publications, and which ones are books vs articles. Also, if published reviews of the books can be found and used as footnoted references, that would strengthen the case for including an article on her. —David Eppstein (talk) 06:21, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Wrote another draft article on Liouba Bortniker[edit]
It's at Draft:Liouba Bortniker, translating this French Wikipedia article. As before, I was a fairly literal translator. However, this time, based on advice at Help:Translation, I left out the uncited stuff (which I'm generally quite conservative about, considering it to be essentially unverified/unverifiable); as compensation, I included a section at the very bottom copying the references that French Wikipedia listed but didn't cite. I also threw in some more cleanup templates for goodness' sake. Please review and expand; thanks. Duckmather (talk) 20:06, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
