My name is Kriek Jooste and I am a UNIX computer person who joined Wikipedia only in 2006. I tend to spend my working hours doing either UNIX related development work or security related things. I used to have a keen interest in security and worked as a penetration tester. Nowadays I focus more on general system administration in large online environments.

I also spend some time making electronic music and debating over science issues. I was born in South Africa.
