I added a brief overview of the reaction, showing the reagents and conditions necessary. I also wrote a mechanistic overview of how the reaction proceeds through each transition state. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mpizzuto15 (talkcontribs) 19:40, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mpizzuto15 - Thanks for your additions. Here are some things to consider improve your contribution, should you choose to edit them yourself.
  • Figure edit: Please use "ACS Document 1996" settings on ChemDraw as they provide uniform font and more aesthetically pleasing bond/label ratios. Also remove the large font above the scheme. The caption should be sufficient.
  • You show carbonate as the base used for enolization, but describe the use of hydroxide. Is there a range of bases that can be used for the Allan-Robinson Reaction? This may be a good addition to the article.
  • Please review your description of the mechanism. Some of the language used is inaccurate based on the scheme that is provided.
I am happy to help edit, if you'd like! Mclaughl (talk) 14:29, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mpizzuto15 - This is a nice addition and I like how concise you are in your edits. Some things to consider.

As Emily said the 1996 format in chemdraw, a very easy switch just copy and paste it over into the new format. Also I would find it and I'm sure others would find it useful to just highlight one or two examples of how this reaction is actually utilized in research. Finally I see that you dont mention anything about the R-groups. Do they both have to be aromatic for the anhydride or just one? What are some limitations with the R-groups. Just a few quick edits that could make the page a little more helpful for people. Great work on this page so far! Mm9656 (talk) 20:24, 27 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use English language inside an image, we eventually want to re-use all images in de other-language wikipedia's V8rik (talk) 17:12, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I cropped out the in-image caption text. DMacks (talk) 06:10, 21 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
