Wicker is an upcoming film directed and adapted by Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson from the short story "The Wicker Husband" by Ursula Wills-Jones. The film will star Olivia Coleman and Dev Patel

Premise[edit]

An outcast in a fishing village commissions a husband for herself made out of wicker.^[1]

Topic Studios and Tango Entertainment will finance and produce the film which Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson will direct from a screenplay they have adapted from the short story "The Wicker Husband" by Ursula Wills-Jones. Producers include Olivia Coleman, who will also star, and Ed Sinclair and Tom Carver from South of The River, David Michôd and Brad Zimmerman for Yoki, Inc. and Justin Lothrop and Brent Stiefel for Votiv.^[2]^[3]

Principal photography will take place in 2024 in Europe.
