James Whitworth was an American film actor. He is known for film credits in The Black Angels (1970), Sweet Sugar (1973), Terminal Island (1973), The Candy Snatchers (1973), as Papa Jupiter in Wes Craven's The Hills Have Eyes (1977) and the low-budget science fiction Planet of Dinosaurs (1978).
Besides his film credits, Whitworth also appeared in TV shows including Mission: Impossible, The Rockford Files, Fantasy Island, Emergency!, Quincy, M.E., and B.J. and the Bear."
Whitworth died of lung cancer on December 15, 1991.
