Curious about the 'sole mechanic' part. Is this intended for any game using dice at all (in which case the cat will expand a bit) or games where dice are pretty much all that's going on (in which case the cat needs some entries removed). Compare with the "list" at Dice game. I don't mind making the changes, but don't want to waste effort going the wrong way. -- B.S. Lawrence (talk) 01:36, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have a related question. This is sunk in the category Board Games, however some dice games don't use a board at all. 2601:441:5000:13E0:4040:D84:566E:92F9 (talk) 05:13, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I was surprised to see this in the Category:Gambling games. Not all of these are used for gambling (although I suppose you can bet on anything). Objections to removal? Or a subcat for "gambling dice games" that would go here and in the gambling cat? -- B.S. Lawrence (talk) 01:51, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
