License tagging for Image:Logo gameRail.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo gameRail.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:08, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:KDE4desktop.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:KDE4desktop.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo CSP.png. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Logo large.png. The copy called Image:Logo large.png has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 22:18, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Counter strike pro mod[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Counter strike pro mod, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Logo CSP.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo CSP.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 03:06, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

KDE WikiProject?[edit]

You seem to be putting in a lot of effort to maintaining KDE articles, would you be interested in a KDE project here on wikipedia? The Linux project seems to neglect most KDE articles, and I think it would be important to keep KDE article s up to date, unfortunately I don't know of much people who are willing to maintain KDE articles.

Happysmileman 16:27, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd be happy to help with the KDE articles. But I'm new to editing wikipedia and I don't know how to start/join a wikiproject Skeith 16:34, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I can start it, it's literally just creating a page and adding your name to it, not formal registratiopn or anything, I just want to make sure we have a couple of people, I'll post a link here, then you can just add your name to the list and start participating Happysmileman 16:37, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good, I'm busy so I usually find articles that need cleaning up and change them when I get a few hours to spare. Skeith 16:39, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ah that's ok, the project page is Wikipedia:WikiProject_KDE, not very good, needs some work of course and I'm not that good at mediawiki yet, and if you know of any other members who would be willing to join send the link on Happysmileman 16:46, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Decibel.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Decibel.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Image source problem with Image:Konsole-KDE4.png[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Konsole-KDE4.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:34, 12 January 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Soxπed Ninety Three | tcdb 16:34, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Images to commons[edit]

I've noticed that you've uploaded a lot KDE-related images, unfortunatly I can't use them on the dutch wikipedia becouse they're uploaded locally. So I suggest that you upload your next images to the commons, so that everyone can benifit from them. Typhoner (talk) 12:55, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing that out, I'll be sure to do that and move old images if I can find the time.

Proposed deletion of Parley (KDE)[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Parley (KDE), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.  Sandstein  18:09, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

DMC wiki[edit]

Hi, this is KrytenKoro from DMC wiki. We've not had much activity in the last while, so I was trying to see if any of the old editors were interested in coming back. Drop me a line if you're interested! Not even Mr. Lister's Koromon survived intact. 21:56, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I've reviewed your GAN for Left 4 Dead. The article is excellent; I didn't even find any major grammatical objections. I had only two suggestions that I left on the review page and they won't take long for you to address, so I think this will be ready for GA status very soon. Nice work! --Hunter Kahn (talk) 03:56, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Left 4 Dead A-class nomination[edit]

Hi Skeith! Just so you're aware, you might want to open a formal nomination for A-class on Left 4 Dead's talk page, and then add a link to it on the WP:VG assessment requests page. That way we make sure we've crossed all our Ts and dotted all our Is. — Levi van Tine (tc) 13:53, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated ThreadWeaver, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ThreadWeaver. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Nomination of Dragon Player for deletion[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Dragon Player is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dragon Player (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Steve Quinn (talk) 04:03, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Left 4 Dead Director Intensity.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Left 4 Dead Director Intensity.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 28 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
