Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. how to submit photos[edit]

To submit a photo,

Click on the link at the left (in toolbox) called "upload file" which takes you to Wikipedia:Upload.
Click on the work source.
Enter the filename and destination filename.
Write the description (takes some work, including categorizing it adequately—definitely the biggest challenge).
Choose a license type.
Press submit.

Link to it like any other wikilink, but note the name of the media after you submit it. Sometimes the name changes slightly during upload. If you've done anything wrong, you'll get a notice from a bot in a day or two.

If you have something to submit which would benefit other wikimedia, especially the other wikipedia languages, upload it to commons instead at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page . The wikilink reference to media ([[image:image name.jpeg ]]) tries to locate the media on the local wiki, then from commons, so nothing special is needed to refer to commons. And it is just as easy for the Germans, French, Spanish, Chinese, etc. wikis. —EncMstr 21:55, 7 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
