Coordinators of the Guild of Copy Editors (GOCE) use this template to distribute barnstars and awards to participants in Backlog elimination drives and Blitzes run by the Guild of Copy Editors.
To give out stars, visit the editor's talk page, create a new section with a title like "September 2016 GOCE drive awards", and then paste in appropriate versions of this template. It must always be substituted (see the copy-and-paste examples below); if it is transcluded instead, links in the template will eventually break.
The awardee's username, the month of the Drive or Blitz, and the adding editor's signature are added automatically.

The tables below shows the template's parameters and their possible values.
The |award= parameter determines which of three kinds of barnstar is given out: a Blitz participation barnstar, a Drive participation barnstar, or a Drive leaderboard barnstar.

Leaderboard barnstars (for Drives only)[edit]

The coveted 10K star[edit]
Any editor who copy-edits an article that is 10,000 words or longer during a blitz, or an article that is 10,000 words or longer during a drive (and that article does not make it to the leaderboard in the "longest article" category) is entitled to a 10K star.

Copy and paste these examples, then modify them as needed. To give multiple awards to a single editor for a single drive, copy and modify multiple examples, placing each one on its own line, with no vertical space between lines. For Drives, put the "participation" barnstar at the top.

Note: The blitz templates are designed to substitute the current month. If you are awarding blitz barnstars in the month following the blitz month, you'll have to manually change the month after saving the initial template substitution. Don't procrastinate!

Error messages[edit]
This template produces error messages like INVALID AWARD NAME for some unrecognized parameter values. If you are unable to fix an error message, contact the GOCE coordinators.
